Genealogy

The twinge of memories hem us in,
and suffocate our minds.
With a merciless timbre, they
will keep us entwined.

Like creatures from the Cretaceous
Who calcified within,
The aspect of our higher traits
Are as relics- wintering.

The sin of self adoration
Or the nonsense of the mass,
Irrespective of manifesto
Our torments will advance.

The echoes of tribal crimes
Bleed every cursed era,
Through revision and repair,
to debase each dear chimera

The codons carry the affliction,
To transcribe and replicate.
Our memories an allusion
To the life determinate.
