Phoenix

Beyond the massive mountains,
Upon the valley floor,
Dense lies the thickset forest-
Wherein the cloistered soul.

A thousand years of living (a thousand years within).

A barren bough to perch on
Amongst the leafy mass.
He thrives on isolation
Where tension holds him fast.

And suddenly.

The wolf is loosened.
It bounds from a fissured eye.
Tearing through the thickset forest,
Over the valley floor.
Sweeping across the massive mountains-
It comes
To kill us all.
